About Monastir Monastir is a coast city lying in the eastern part of Tunisia, 162 km south of Tunis and 20km south of Sousse. The Monastir Habib Bourguiba International Airport was built in 1968 and covers an area of 199.5 ha. Since, it’s mainly used for charter flights which can be performed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
