Tunisia is a North African Country. It is on the Mediterranean Coast, bordered by Algeria to the west and Libya to the southeast. Around forty percent of the country is covered by the Dessert Sahara. Tunisia has a 1300 km coastline which is making out of it a very popular tourist destination. Moreover, the rest of the country is composed of very fertile land. These two factors have played a major role in the Tunisian history. In ancient times, Rome has made out of it, its “Bread Basket” because of the rich harvest they reaped.

About Monastir

Monastir is a coast city lying in the eastern part of Tunisia, 162 km south of Tunis and 20km south of Sousse. The Monastir Habib Bourguiba International Airport was built in 1968  and covers an area of 199.5 ha. Since, it’s mainly used for charter flights which can be performed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. TAV Tunisie SA, which is a subsidiary of TAV Airports Holding, started to operate the Airport on January 1st, 2008.
